Workshop application
Built in the same Swedish village where Morakniv began over 130 years ago, the 106C is a go-to carving knife for anyone serious about woodwork. It’s made with a tough, unlaminated high-carbon steel blade that gives you excellent control and feedback—perfect for both beginners and experienced carvers working indoors.
The blade is hardened to HRc 58–60 through Morakniv’s closely guarded heat treatment process, offering a razor-sharp edge that holds up beautifully over time.
The handle is made from linseed-oiled birch and designed slightly oversized on purpose—so you can carve, shape, or grip it however suits you best.
Heads up: Carbon steel can rust if left unchecked. Wipe down your blade after each session and oil it regularly (camelia oil works great) to keep it in top shape.
