How to Use PA-70 Honing Compound:
- Application: Apply a thin string of PA-70 Honing Compound to the leather honing wheel before starting the machine.
- Distribute: Turn the honing wheel by hand, start the machine, and lightly press the tool against the wheel to distribute the compound and let it penetrate the leather.
- Preparation: For a new leather honing wheel, first saturate it with the included light machine oil to ensure it absorbs the honing compound properly.
- Maintenance: In dry climates, reapply a few drops of oil to the wheel before using the honing compound to prevent it from drying out. The combination of leather and honing compound effectively removes the burr from sharpening and polishes the bevel to its final finish.
