By routing a 1/4" relief groove before cutting dovetail grooves, it removes approximately 55% of the waste material, reducing stress on the dovetail bit and resulting in cleaner cuts.
The bit features a 3-degree up-shear carbide cutter, an 11/32" laser-etched depth guide for precise depth setting, and a built-in 1/16" top radius to smooth the groove's top shoulders, minimizing tear-out. Available in both 1/2" and 1/4" shank sizes, this relief bit is an essential tool for achieving high-quality dovetail grooves and extending the lifespan of your dovetail router bit.
