Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application. Use Gilly’s LoThin for a thorough clean or an all-purpose cleaner for lighter cleaning. Residues of oil, wax, grease, or dirt can affect curing.

How to Apply

• Blend with Gilly’s LoThin, d-limonene, or turpentine (50/50 ratio).
• Rub or brush the oil into the timber. Apply lighter coats. For large areas, use a floor applicator with a lambswool pad.
• Let the oil sit for 5 minutes, reapplying to dull areas as it soaks in.
• Wipe off excess oil within 10 minutes and buff to ensure even coverage.
• Apply 3 coats, allowing 24 hours between each. Apply more coats if necessary, using lighter coats for subsequent applications.

Dry Time
24 hours between coats. Full curing takes up to 4 weeks, but light use is fine during this time. Water repellency begins within the first week under proper conditions.

Maintenance
Reapply a light coat every 12 months to keep the finish strong. No sanding is required for touch-ups, and damaged areas can be re-oiled directly.

Clean Up
Use Gilly’s LoThin for cleaning, and warm soapy water for hand washing.

Safety
Do not eat, drink, or smoke around the product. Hang rags to dry or soak in water to prevent combustion.
