Kitchen Bench Oil is a tung oil-based finish designed for timber surfaces that need a hard-wearing, natural look. It seals and protects timber from general wear while repelling water, making it ideal for kitchen, bathroom, and laundry benches, as well as tables and butcher blocks. Free from lacquer and silicone, this oil provides a low-maintenance finish that enhances the natural beauty of timber and prolongs its life.

Use For
Ideal for kitchen benches, bathroom and laundry benches, cabinetry, butcher blocks, dining tables, and window frames.

Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Use D-limonene or turpentine for deep cleaning, or an all-purpose cleaner for lighter jobs. Thorough cleaning is important to ensure proper curing.

Application
Apply light coats of oil using a brush or cloth. Allow the oil to sit for 5 minutes, then wipe any dull areas with more oil. After another 5 minutes, remove excess oil and buff vigorously. Repeat for 3 coats, waiting 24 hours between each. Full curing takes up to 30 days.

Dry Time
Dries in 24 hours between coats, with full curing in 4 weeks. Light use is acceptable during this period.

Maintenance
Reapply as needed if the finish gets scratched or dull. No need for sanding. Apply 1-2 coats every 6-12 months for best results.

Clean Up
Use D-limonene or mineral turpentine for cleaning.
